Kyara which means 'precious' is the highest grade of aloeswood - a very rare and scarce raw incense fragrant wood material. It is very difficult to obtain in the present day and is said to be more valuable than gold.
When the Aquilaria genus tree root has passed and embeded in the soil, a fungus develops and over a long period will turn into resin, which emits the beautiful kyara fragrance. The natural resinification process of Kyara is mysterious and can take up to 100 years to resinify making this raw material so valuable.
