There’s no better quick fix makeup apparatus to give the illusion of bigger and brighter eyes than the the mascara.
With proper organic mascara application, you can go from ordinary to extrordinary in less than 2 minutes. But you can just as easily go from glamor to ghostly within 30 seconds, if you select a poor quality mascara and use improper application techniques, .
Which is why when choosing your mascara, choose one that is good quality. Sometimes, the extra $10 – $20 does make a world of difference. In terms of the shades, you can never go wrong with black (even if you are fair toned)
Lets start by keeping the mascara wand hygienic. When you’re pulling out the wand, pull it out in one motion and never pump the wand in and out. The wand may feel good, but the pumping action introduces air into the tube which can lead to drying and also allows more bacteria to enter. Instead twirl the wand inside the applicator. If the consistency of your mascara is old and dried out, get rid of it immediately, the tube is probably riddled with bacteria and nasties that can cause you an eye infection.
Before applying your mascara, you should always use an eyelash curler to give your eyes the appearance of being bigger and brighter. If you have a metal eyelash curler, heat it with your blow dryer for a couple seconds until it feels warm. Don’t make it too hot and test it first before using to make sure you don’t burn your eyelid.
Place the curler as close to the lash line as possible making sure to grab all lash hairs. Hold the curler in place ten seconds or so and release.
To prevent clumping and lumps from forming, a quick tip is to dab powder on your lashes before mascara application.
For the mascara application
Starting from the roots of your eyelashes, work the mascara wand outward and swipe back, making sure that you brush the lashes apart.
Lash combs are optional but a great investment if you want a pair perfectly separated lashes. To use a lash comb, first apply mascara at the lash base, then wiggle the lash comb through to the tips of your lashes. Before your mascara dries, use your lash comb and comb brush through to prevent clumping.
To achieve even applications, makeup artists say that you should give the roots of your lashes one swipe and do more brushes along the tips. To make lashes stand out even more after the mascara has dried apply a little mascara just to the tips of top lashes then comb.
Not all of us are born with big wide eyes. Sometimes, a bit of makeup (mascara) is necessary to make yourself look a little more special to enhance your confidence and attract the man of your dreams.
