Honey! And the Benefits For Our Skin

Honey or Money? I want both! But on a deserted island, a jar of honey would be worth all the money in the world to me. A cup of lemon tea with honey is heaven on earth. It is my favorite drink. Have it as a cool refreshing beverage in the summer, or a warm hydrating drink in the cold winter months. Delicious in taste, and so soothing for my throat and body. My favorite skin care product is also honey, apart from its incredible taste and aroma, honey is also great for our skin. Find out why?

Honey is Anti-Bacterial Used to Treat Skin Deceases and Prevent Infections
Honey is useful for various skin diseases. Honey has antibacterial properties due to its acidic nature and enzymically produced hydrogen peroxide. It is rich with ‘inhibine‘, the natural chemical substance that helps prevent the infections from occurring killing the germs on the surface of our skin. It works by absorbing the moisture out of the bacteria’s cell walls – most bacteria can not survive without the moisture around them, and therefore, honey has been considered as the good natural antiseptic for attacking various broad spectrum bacterial and fungal species.

It can be applied externally for wounds, sores, burns, ulcers and scars as it speeds up healing and growth of skin tissues to minimize disfiguring scar. Honey is also a natural remedy for acne, eczema and other skin conditions because it has amino acids and enzymes.

Honey is anti-aging rich in antioxidant which fights free radicals

Honey packed with antioxidants which restores the damaged skin and gives a smooth, soft, young look to your skin. It delays skin aging due to its antioxidant properties. The beauty of it is that it is safe to use for those who have extra sensitive or irritated skin.

Honey gives moisture and nutrients to our skin

Honey and beeswax are used in the beauty industry to soften and heal the skin tissue and helps attract and retain moisture to prevent skin dehydration. You will find it in various cleansers, moisturizing creams, mask or lipsticks. It will impede our skin’s natural moisture locking in the nutrients and preventing it from being vanished away while it moistens our skin. It will help us to avoid dryness on our skin. It also ‘feeds’ our skin since it contains a lot of minerals and nutrients that will be suitable for people who has the problems of lacking for skin nutrients.

Honey in the treatment of digestive disorders In addition to its beauty benefits, it is often used for treating digestive problems such as diarrhea, indigestion, stomach ulcers and gastroenteritis. With more and more health experts and theories supporting its benefits, this oldest natural sweetener just keeps getting better.

I love Honey…..

That’s why I’ll only call my husband “Honey”.

I saw the Riversol products in the Emmy swag bags as well as in numerous Canadian beauty mags. All the make up artists swear by dermatologist Dr. Rivers skincare line. Samples or products? Where can you help me find them?? I want them for my fashion and film make up kits.
