We can see through Gisele, when beauty and brains are utilized to its full potential, the financial rewards can be enormous. With her savvy business skills, Gisele almost doubled what she earned in the previous year. On a whole, the top 10 earning supermodels worldwide raked in a total of $112 million in 2010, up 30% from the previous year.

Looks alone can only get you so far. It’s easy to find a pretty girl with sexy body on the street, but it’s hard to find one with the entrepreneurial skills to propel herself to an international icon.

Gisele has done so well with her marketing, exposing herself through various endorsement deals, television spots and clothing lines, fragrances, cosmetics and high end brands such as Victoria Secret, Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton. These are not skills you can pick up at Harvard University. She is a brand in itself. She has her own persona. Her face is internationally recognised. Her words have impact. Her name itself is worth millions.

“Gisele Bundchen is clearly in a class by herself, and has been for a number of years,” says Edward Razek, chief marketing officer of Limited Brands ( LTD – news -people ), who worked with the supermodel during her Victoria’s Secret career. “She’s an international icon who can also move product–from shampoo to couture.”

Gisele is definitely on a high. Her romance with New England Patriots star Tom Brady is strong and the launch of her new organic skin care line ‘Seeja‘ has been a growing success.

This transformation from supermodel to business women shows courage and confidence. In a business world dominated by men, I’d like to see more girls coming out and following in Gisele’s entrepreneurial footsteps – dreaming dreams and making fantasies a reality.
