“I designed the collection last year after I’d started university in the US,” Watson revealed. “Safia, People Tree’s founder, and Misato, People Tree’s designer, came out to work with me in Rhode Island. Together we decided on all the colours, fabrics, shapes and craft skills. Most of all, we took care to design a really wearable collection that truly celebrates the traditional skills of People Tree’s fair trade groups around the world.”

The collection is combination of short dresses and skirts in polka-dot and check prints, alongside jersey harem pants, denim cut-offs, Union-Jack T-shirts, cropped jacket and checked shirts teamed with leggings, accessorised with beanie and bowler hats. Although the main theme appeals to a cooler style, she still hasn’t dropped the cuty girly look that we’ve grown fond of with a range of plethora of floral-print tea dresses in various colours and shapes.

The green fair trade collection will officially launch on February 28th, but a few pieces up for grabs online now.

Personally, I think the collection looks quite wearable and affordable and does appeal to the teenage market. As for Emma’s new hair cut, I’m personally not a fan and think the long hair suits her better. But I have to agree, the short hair does pair up well with this new collection.

Ultimately, if it sells, it works and Emma Watson definitely caters for the younger generation. Best of all she is promoting educating people to buy green and go fair trade.
