How to Make Your Hair Grow Faster?

Have you got a wedding in 6 months? Or maybe a photo shoot in a week? Or maybe you’ve got a date tomorrow with your dream guy and you want to look your absolute best? If having long luscious hair is your idea of ultimate beauty, and you need to make an impression, then I better hope you have time and patience.

Our genes will only allow us to grow up to around 1 – 2 centimeters every month.  So it’s going to a long wait before you wake up with hair down to your shoulders.

What about that magic pill or hair growing potion that people use for instant results? What magic????

The only magic I know is the magic of illusion. If you have a photo shoot or an important date the next day, then the only magic instant hair growth  is to go to the hair dressers, spend up to $500 and get a hair extension. It’s not your own hair but hey, you get the impression of long hair. And isn’t magic all about illusion anyway.

Now if time is on your side, and say you have 6 months before your wedding, then we can work on some real magic. The magic of nature. Through the process of a healthy hair care routine and a healthy lifestyle, your hair will be down to your shoulders before you know it. Here are some ways to speed things up.

Lets begin from the inside out.

Start with a healthy lifestyle and good eating habits

Remember that hair consist of mainly protein and vitamins.  So a diet rich in vitamin A,  vitamin E, vitamin C and other essential minerals will encourage the faster growth of healthy hair.  Red meat is an excellent choice (rich in protein & zinc) as it provides the necessary building blocks for a healthy head of hair.

Manage Your Stress

Stress is unavoidable. Telling you not to stress is just telling you not to breath. Stress is just your body’s natural reaction to dealing with life’s problematic issues. You can’t avoid stress, but you can certainly manage your stress levels. Take some time to relax because not not only can stress hormones slow the growth of your hair, but can lead to the loss of hair and irreversible hair growth.

Increase Blood Circulation to Your Scalp

The theory here is that if you can increase the blood circulation to your scalp, your hair follicles will be better stimulated for growth. You can do this by a simple massage to your scalp or a simple exercise routine to get your heart pumping. The idea is  to get your heart pumping faster and harder to increasing blood circulation to your head.

Take Supplements

I said before there was no magic pill for hair growth. Well actually, there maybe one. To speed things up a little, you may take a daily multivitamin tablet. You won’t have an extra 3 inches of hair over night, but you may have extra millimetre. Not bad for one night’s work.

Other supplements you may consider includes omega 3 fish oil, evening primrose oil, and mineral supplements.

Shampoo & condition Hair Regularly, but Not Too Regularly

The build up of dead skin cells and oily roots can clog hair follicles preventing it from growing at an optimum speed.  Shampooing and conditioning your hair on a regular basis helps remove the dirty build up helping to free up the pores for natural growth. However, we are not suggesting you wash your hair every single day. The natural hair oils actually helps to protect and condition your hair and daily washing will strip away these natural oils.

Wash with Chemical Free Shampoo and Conditioner

Various toxic chemicals found in shampoos and conditioners can cause irritation and for those with a sensitive scalp, these can lead to flaking and itching. A scalp that is inflamed does not provide the best environment for strong hair growth. Use a natural or organic shampoo and conditioner as an option.

Invest in a good shampoo, conditioner and hair treatment product. It does make a difference if you want shinning, luscious hair.

Brush Your Hair Often

Brushing your hair is a gentle way to pull on the hair from its roots. Never pull on your hair with your hands, it can be very damaging to the roots. The gentle brush sends a signal telling the hair to grow faster. Does this actually work? Maybe it does and maybe it doesn’t. It maybe just a placebo effect, but the mind is a very powerful force and if you can trick your mind into thinking that brushing your hair will help it grow faster, then maybe it does work.

Long or short hair, your true beauty is reflected by your manners and your confidence and your self-belief. A girl with confidence is attractive no matter what hair she wears.

Hair defines your look, reflects your health & give a statement about who you are. We all want a full, shiny, healthy hair but just get lost between all the different hair products that spread promises like a jinny in a bottle. The number one thing I recommend everybody is to stop using hair products that contain any kind of sulphate (SLS,SLES), alcohol, fragrance & preservatives. You will find that most of the super market products do contain these toxic ingredients but keep looking – your hair will thank you! The other thing I would highly recommend is to use oils! The word Shampoo is taken from India (Champo=head massage) where they use natural oils as a shampoo: Coconut oil, olive oil, Avocado oil etc. A new formulated hair treatment named Andama Secret (www.themineralmiracle.com.au) contains mainly Olive Oil & Rosemary that will stimulate the scalp blood circulation & stop hair loss. After 2 months you will find you hair is fuller, stronger & healthier.
