Exercise Without Moving. Now We Are Talking!

Exercising without moving. Now that’s my type of exercise.

An increasing number of medical clinics are using sauna therapy as a way to help their patients detoxify the body of toxic chemicals. Sweating is the body’s safe and natural way to heal, and this stationary exercise program is great for lazy people like me. (Yes I’m lazy. Otherwise I would be on a treadmill running laps).


 

The beauty of the sauna exercise therapy is its ability to increase your metabolism and pulse rates, oxygenates the cells, tissues and organs, dilate your blood vessels, strengthens your immune system, cleanse your skin and increase blood circulation. It works on the principle of generating abundant sweat to detoxify the body and relax the mind.

Most environmental contaminants we have today are fat soluble, thus they have an affinity for body lipids or fatty tissue. The body uses metabolic systems, particularly the liver, to convert fat soluble substances into water soluble chemicals to facilitate excretion. Sauna therapy enhances this process by mobilizing poisons from body storage sites into general circulation, where they are then transported out of the body through various excretion pathways such as perspiration. And we all know that the main effect of a sauna bath is heavy perspiration!

Sweating removes toxic chemicals and metals faster than other detox method. Considering that we are faced with 50,000 foreign chemicals in commercial products, the occasional sauna bath can effectively flush out toxins and improve your overall health and vitality.

What About Weight Loss?
Don’t count on it. You may loss a few calories from the sauna, but losing more of is water and this may give the impression of weight loss when you stand on a scale after a sauna exercise session.

Heavy sweating from vigorous muscle movement is still the best type of exercise to perform. But for a lazy person like me, a sauna is the perfect way to get my heart pumping.

Lets start sweating to restore good health and radiant skin.

    Many people get irritated when they start sweating under the hot sun. Perhaps, sauna therapy could be a better alternative coz’ it could helps them to relax their mind and simultaneously helps them to detox. But, I personally prefers to workout daily to detox.
