Holistic Philosophy
Since 1967, WALA Heilmittel GmbH, the makers of Dr Hauschka Skin Care have been transforming nature to help bring balance and harmony to the skin. Dr Hauschka preparations are inspired by an holistic approach to skin care.

Produced in the rural village of Eckwälden nestled in the foothills of the Swabian Alps, southern Germany. Each preparation has been created in harmony with the laws of nature to optimise the natural health giving properties in each and every ingredient.

The source of the vitality in Dr Hauschka preparations doesn't begin with the plants. It starts in the soil and the principles of Biodynamic agriculture as expounded by the Austrian philosopher Dr. Rudolf Steiner. Biodynamic gardening helps the soil regenerate naturally while working in harmony with the seasons and the planetary cycles. At WALA, plants are hand picked just before dawn because that is when a plant's life force is at its strongest. Every step of the harvesting, selection and creation processes are designed to capture and preserve these life forces so as to enhance the natural vitality of the ingredients. It is a process that honours our relationship to Nature, the World and the Universe.
